Jobseekers are being scammed by fake online recruitment agencies seeking payment for their services. Scammers are increasingly preying on fresh grads and those desperate for employment throughout the UK.
Reports say that a representative from the fake sites are calling jobseekers who register their CVs online and offering courses and assistance in their job search in return for payment, despite it being illegal (and
really bad practice!) for a recruitment firm to charge jobseekers to register on their site.
The rate of fake job ads has increased by 345% in Britain over the past three years.
