Google has announced the launch of its real-time search funtionality - due to go live within the next couple of days in the US, UK, Australia and India.
As you can see from the video demo, real-time results will appear in a scrolling box within the results page - this area will update constantly with new results, presenting evermore results to the user. Google at the current time will only be displaying real-time results once a term becomes newsworthy or popular enough.
Results for Google's new real-time search are to be pulled in from websites such as Twitter and Yahoo answers, as well as many traditional sources including news pages and blogs. At the current time, Facebook and MySpace has been left out....
