I was putting together some information for a client about the importance of responsive web design and I thought I should share it.
Responsive web design is when a website adjusts itself to an individuals screen resolution to provide a better user experience.
The sites navigation, structure and layout will automatically change depending on the device size an example of this happening can be seen below:

Responsive web design does not remove the need for mobile specific sites if a seperate workflow is required however it is a great way to improve website performance without increasing the admin cost of managing different web interfaces.
