What Happens in 60 Seconds Online

The internet is a pretty busy place.  The first thing most people do when they get into the office is turn on their computer and start up an internet browser.  Your default home page says a lot about you as does the first five web pages you visit...

The number of adults who bought or ordered goods or services online within the last 12 months reached 31 million in 2010.

There were 19.2 million households with an internet connection in 2010, representing 73% of all households. The region with the highest level of access was London, with 83% connected.

With an ever increasing number of people browsing the web via mobiles or other devices there is very little time when we aren't able to access the web.

Social networks have also revolutionised the way we interact online with 43% of internet users posting messages to social networking sites or chat sites, blogs etc.  Among 16 to 24-year-olds 75% are posting messages on social networks.
