When I heard we had won the Affiliate Member of the Year award at the prestigious APSCo Awards for Excellence, to say I was pleased would be the understatement of the year. We all worked so hard this year to provide the highest quality service possible and to be recognised with a highly coveted award for that work was a fantastic honour.
Working with APSCo
Our work with APSCo stretches back to before they were even called APSCo! It’s been a journey where we’ve developed alongside APSCo and we’re proud to work side by side with them in improving the recruitment industry. Our long-standing affiliation with APSCo is down to the values we share and our mutual objective – encouraging excellence across the recruitment marketing industry. Since we began in 1999 we’ve been dedicated to recruitment marketing and we will never branch out of this market – it’s our speciality and it’s what we’ve made our name in.
Working with APSCo's members
We work with over 40 APSCo members, from SMEs to corporate recruiters – with many of our clients working with us for over 5 years and some for almost 10! During this time, we’ve overseen a lot of change in the industry and we’re definitely happy with where it’s heading. There’s more emphasis on providing a professional service – from top to bottom – and the recent upturn in market strength has meant the industry is taking on a lot of exciting new challenges and investing in the best ways to find the talent required to keep our economy in positive growth.
With two years of continual growth in permanent jobs being made by recruiters and more growth predicted, it’s a good time to be working in the recruitment and the ideal opportunity to reassess marketing strategies, taking into account the confirmed strength in the sector. And what better time to see how APSCo members can work with one another? Well, I’ll be keeping a close eye on the economic and employment trends affecting the recruitment industry – knowing just what’s going on allows me to offer our clients the best advice possible on their marketing needs. Market intelligence is vital if you want to make the right decisions in the long-term, not just making knee-jerk reactions to the latest article reporting on growths or declines in employment figures.
With this in mind, I’m attending the APSCo Members Meeting in Manchester on 13 November – it'll be great to see some familiar faces there and I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people too. I'm really looking forward to seeing the UK Recruitment Index 2014 be announced – as I said, it's vital to understand the sector you work in as much as possible to make the best decisions available.
