Brilliant. Responsible. Ethical.
A big part of making 4MAT a brilliant place to work is recognising our responsibilities to our employees, our community and the environment. Our corporate / social responsibility policy focuses on these three core commitments:
- We believe that for our employees the company should be a positive, inclusive and safe place to work
- We want to be engaged with our community, using our time and resources to improve other peoples’ lives
- We recognise that we can significantly reduce the impact our business activities have on the environment
Our Employees:
Equal opportunities and diversity: we are committed to ensuring equal opportunities and promoting diversity both within 4MAT and in the work we undertake on behalf of our clients.
Training and Development: the ongoing development of our employees is vital to our success and we are committed to providing time and budget to assist in our employees' personal development.
Fun: while we take our work seriously we want the company to be an enjoyable place to work and firmly believe that this is a key contributor to keeping our people motivated. One of our core values is, "we work hard, but we know how to have fun".
Health & Safety: we operate a comprehensive Health & Safety Policy and work to ensure a safe environment for our employees and visitors.
Community:
Every quarter, 4MAT fundraise for The Lennox Children's Cancer Fund, which aims to support children who suffer from cancer and leukaemia.
2008 marked the first year that the 4MAT Men have grown moustaches for Movember, an international charity event that takes place for the entire month of November, raising awareness of men's health issues such as Prostate Cancer. Following months of considering what moustaches they will grow from the start of November, our 2009 team continued raising money for Movember.
Anna, one of our Account Managers, did a 10 mile run for Starlight and raised £500. Another of our Account Managers, Joanna, raised £500 in the 2008 Race For Life.
On Pancake Day in early 2009, Andrew, Nadia, James W, Anna and Sotos all ran in the Spitalfields Pancake Toss-a-thon to raise money for Barnado's.
In June 2009, Maria, Nadia and Joanna did Pants In The Park, a 5k run around Battersea Park to raise awareness about prostate cancer. They raised just under £400 for Prostate UK.
We also choose to send e-cards rather than Christmas cards, and donate directly to our Christmas charity.

Sustainable procurement: we ensure that the goods and services we purchase are the most environmentally friendly solutions and where possible buy fair trade, recycled and recyclable products
