Four Seasons Recruitment is a market leading boutique recruitment specialist to the fashion and retail industry. They work with many well-known and high profile brands such as Harrods, Selfridges, LVMH and Cartier. Facebook is the UK’s most visited social networking site and is a highly valuable platform for attracting and engaging job seekers.
Temporary retail staff are in high demand over the Christmas period. The brief was to deliver a Page specifically for placing staff in temporary retail roles in time for this peak in placements.
Facebook was attractive as a platform because of its emphasis on friendship network, referrals and creating an online community. Given the length and frequency of visits for this specific target audience, it was seen as imperative to develop a presence on this marketing channel.
Live jobs feed direct into the Facebook Page, and the job seeker can search using the functionality featured on 4MAT recruitment web platform. Jobs automatically update as they are content managed through the Four Seasons website. Banners and the company logo can be changed in the website content management.
Job seekers can read job descriptions on Facebook. An “Apply” button takes them direct to the Four Seasons website vacancy application page. The Wall is managed by Four Seasons, and is a core tool for interactions that generate affinity with the brand.
The Facebook Page can be seen at:
As one of the first of its kind to pull through live jobs, it is an important asset for Four Seasons.
‘Likes’ of the Page have more than tripled in the two months since the Page went live. Monthly active users are up 100%. Four Seasons have increased engagement with the Page, driving traffic to it with email campaigns and disclosing the winner of a competition on Facebook only.
An online community with Facebook at its centre is a highly effective forum for communicating with potential and current candidates. Active job seekers post on the Four Seasons Page with their queries, and the public responses help other job seekers. A placed candidate who worked on Boxing Day enjoyed her role, and posted on the Wall asking for more shifts. This is a fantastic testimonial for Four Seasons posted direct onto a relevant channel.
“We are delighted with the Page that delivers exactly what we asked for from our Facebook presence. Pulling through live jobs to the Page is a really valuable functionality that leads the job seeker direct into an application on our website.
4MAT delivered the site in time for Christmas, which is the busiest time of the year for temporary retail employment. Their understanding of the project and personable approach was a pleasure to work with.”
