Head of Product Development
Bio
Gareth heads up the Development team at 4MAT, managing product development and all technical aspects of client service delivery. His working week varies between hands on development, architecting strategic technical solutions for clients and managing our team of hardworking developers.
With over 10 years of history working with many different aspects of recruitment technology, he has a strong understanding of online recruitment and where it’s heading. He started his career with a provider of back-office recruitment database systems, moved onto a well known jobsboard (Milkround Online), before starting at 4MAT 8 years ago and working through the ranks to head up all product development and technical consultancy.
Gareth has a strong interest in monitoring new and experimental technologies and emerging business models within online recruitment. He uses this insight to help develop 4MAT’s technology and product roadmap and also to help clients keep ahead of technology changes and get the most of systems and technologies available.

Projects i have worked on
dotVacancy 3: Ok, not specifically a client project, but our core platform for the web sites we build is pretty much my baby. We have evolved it over time to keep it high innovative and at the forefront of online recruitment.
RWE npower: A highly innovative corporate career site, this project showed how a career site could be truly seamlessly integrated with an ATS. It also proved that corporate career sites could indeed rank fantastically well in search engines.
First Point Group: I love the fresh design of this site, which proved an interesting challenge to integrate into the dotVacancy platform. We achieved it fantastically I believe though, and then went on to launch it in multi-lingual variations.
