Gareth Jenkins
Gareth is responsible for and oversees the technical delivery of all web and product development at 4MAT.
Gareth left the rural hills of Mid Wales in 1997, taking a degree in Information Systems at Brunel University. While there he founded the University’s first IT Degree Show, now in its 9th successful year. He also undertook a placement year working at EDS's Rolls Royce division in Derby.
After graduating in 2001, Gareth accepted a job at a Brighton based provider of recruitment software to the recruitment industry. Soon the lure of London beckoned once more and Gareth moved to join Milkround Online, a market-leading online graduate recruitment business. A fruitful year there ensued in which he helped to revolutionize many internal systems for the company and gained useful experience on the inner workings of online recruitment at the cutting edge.
In 2004 Gareth accepted an offer to join 4MAT as a web developer. After 3 successful years, including a one year career break travelling through 4 continents and 15 countries, Gareth was appointed Development Team Manager. Since then he has overseen the successful launch of the latest version of 4MAT's dotVacancy platform, the delivery of many client sites based on this platform, and helped to oversee many internal infrastructure and process improvements.
Outside of work Gareth enjoys photography, foreign travel, cycling and live music.
