Overview

Hybridge offer innovative executive search and career coaching to the financial services industry. They place highly sought-after talent at senior level, with a mission to disrupt the traditional contingent and search models to provide a higher value service to clients. They differentiate from competitors with an emphasis on quality, intelligent decisions, helpfulness and responsibility.

Requirement

4MAT’s brief was to work on a website and a unique online tool for career coaching. Candidates can log into a private space to set up a career profile.
Design objectives were to present a website with an “App” feel, uncluttered and clean with a high impact. The client emphasised the importance of the user experience, taking them on a logical and tailored journey through the website.

Solution

The design process began with research to analyse competitors in the recruitment space and seek inspiration from sources outside the industry. The research was then presented in the form of moodboards for a discussion around 4MAT’s creative ideas. The ideas then lead into the look, feel and tone of the website.

Rapid wireframe prototyping was a highly effective user experience technique for developing the structure, layout and user journey of the website. 4MAT used interactive wireframes that could be easily edited, giving the opportunity to take on board feedback and rapidly rework the user experience in response.

Result

Creativity was combined with thorough research and development, to achieve client engagement and satisfaction throughout each design stage.

The overall effect is a website with a user experience tightly bound to objectives. The concept, use of illustration, video, LinkedIn functionality and emphasis on user journey redefines the potential of recruitment websites in all sectors, not just the financial industry. Our in house illustrator created a suite of sophisticated characters and situations that are echoed in animation and icons throughout the website.

Unique drawings significantly differentiate the look and feel of the site from others in the financial services recruitment space. Illustrated icons display attention to detail and represent the site’s target market. The imagery has been purposefully framed with a clear, simple design that focuses attention on interactive features.

Video and animation is used in this site to easily convey instructions on certain website features of the coaching online tool. One video uses animation with a voiceover, the other is of someone talking about the tool. 4MAT managed the making of these videos, resulting in a site making effective use of this medium.

“Sign up with LinkedIn” functionality brings seamless integration with this social media platform. It draws in data from a user’s profile, reducing the need for manual inputting and providing a strong grounding for building a career profile with Hybridge. The private career coaching areas are easy to use, with clear calls to action that guide the user through setting up and editing a profile.

Testimonial

“We went to 4MAT knowing we wanted something stand-out, which was completely different to the conventional recruitment websites we’d seen. On coming to the project we already had an idea of the visual style of the website. The design process was thorough and gave us ample opportunity to narrow this down, give feedback at all stages and work closely with the design team.

4MAT’s designers were creative and responsive with ideas and energy for the project. We’re very happy with the result, and would recommend using 4MAT.”
