Following a degree in English from the University of Birmingham and brief stints as both a drummer in a band and an IT salesman, James joined 4MAT in its infancy. He has been Managing Director since 2002. James is a believer in harbouring internal creativity and talent to make 4MAT the number one place to work, with a culture that enables talented individuals to rise quickly through the ranks.
With a keen interest in the science of management and in developing high performance teams, his primary objective is simply to make 4MAT the very best company it can possibly be.
Outside of work James enjoys adding to his record collection, team sports, cycling, parenting, hill walking, the history of London’s disused Underground stations and occasional drumming
