4MAT are seeking to recruit a technically excellent ASP.NET/SQL web developer with an ability to think on their feet and come up with creative solutions to problems.
You will be working on enhancing, supporting and maintaining our client’s websites; all built on our in-house enterprise recruitment platform. These sites range from SME recruitment agencies through to the careers sites of some of the UKs largest brands. Most of these sites also integrate with a wide variety of 3rd party products and platforms. You will need to constantly adapt to various challenges of mobile, social media and SEO, mailing platforms to name but a few.

Skills and Experience
Candidate will ideally possess a degree in computer science or related and have a minimum of 2 years commercial experience (after graduation). Those without degrees but much longer work experience will also be considered. In addition to this the following skills are required:
- ASP.NET using C# (v2/3.5/4.0)
- Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 – T-SQL, Sql comparison tools and Sql Profiler
- An understanding of SQL performance issues
- IIS 6/7 configuration
- Good HTML and CSS understanding
- XML and use of web services
- JavaScript and AJAX
- An understanding of site architecture
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
The following skills will be of benefit:
- Understanding of SEO aspects of web development
- Good understanding of secure and high performance coding
- Experience working with a complex CMS
- Experience with JQuery and Telerik toolsets
- Experience with major 3rd party APIs (Google, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- LLBLGen or other OR Mapper
- Firebug and IE Developer toolbar
