Bio
Karen is the senior developer in the company. Her thirst for knowledge had led her to complete a double masters in commerce and business management before she jumped onto her true passion: programming. At 4MAT, she has developed and maintained over 60 websites built on the cutting edge of 4MAT's DotVacancy3 recruitment technology. As a senior member of the development team, she is responsible for building the complex engines that run our client's websites. With over 6 years of experience of developing web solutions from the ground up, she readily accepts any challenge to push the boundaries of her knowledge.
Likes
Harry Potter....innovation, creativity, history, chocolate, Apple products (and I don’t mean the fruit), traveling, reading, music and a good challenge for me brain.
Dislikes
Fish, spam emails and missing my first cup of tea in the morning.
Projects i have worked on
1. 4MAT website: Developing for your own website is always an affaire de coeur.
2. Grad-central: This will always be my favorite due to the many challenges it presented during its development. The complex coding for an intensive keyword based search was one such piece of coding which I loved working on.
3. Lawrence Harvey: My first multi-lingual website. I learnt many new words in Dutch and German while working on this site.
4. 4MAT Pocket DV3: This is the mobile offering from 4MAT with the power of the Dotvacancy3 engine. Developing the mobile website has been an interesting project due to the variety of platforms it had to serve while increasing efficiency and quality of the product.
