Overview
Meridian Business Support was founded in 1989 and are now the 11th largest privately owned recruitment company in the UK. Meridian consists of 90 branches with some 340 direct staff covering Construction, Commercial, Education, Health, Industrial, International and On-Site markets supplying over 7500 temporary staff on a weekly basis and placing 2500 permanent candidates per year.
Requirement
Meridian Business Support’s previous website was dated and disjointed. The existing website did not function in a user friendly manner or portray the position in which the company now finds itself in, having grown and evolved since the website was first designed.
Solution
4MAT provided Meridian Business Support with a new and attractive website which effectively portrays the correct brand messages across the web while at the same time ensuring its user friendly nature with a well thought out and scientifically lead design. Meridian has also made use of 4MAT’s dotVacancy3 functionality which contains tried and tested workflows that form an integral of the new Meridian Business Support website with one of the key goals form the new site being to drive candidate registrations and applications.
Result
200 candidate registrations and 30 applications were made in the first 4 days after launch, compared with an average number of 360 registrations and only 4 applications per month from the old website. This goes to show the difference which expertly thought out design and functionality can have on a websites performance.
