Philip Jones, Technical Director.

Phil completed a degree in Classics at the University of Cambridge, before moving to London to start up a small agency business with friends. Utilizing a nationwide network of language teachers the company successfully sold and managed on-site foreign language tuition for business professionals within blue chip firms (e.g Unisys, Tomy).
 
Phil then moved into business research, working as a research assistant to the Director of MBA Programmes at City University Business School, whilst also completing an MSc in International Business from Birkbeck College.
 
In 1999 looking for a challenge in the internet arena, Phil joined 4MAT,
initially on the business side. He has since been involved with most aspects of the business, but in the past 4 years has taken a leading role on the technical side.

Phil is now a fully qualified MCSE and MCDBA and manages the 4MAT hosting and IT infrastructure. Hosting is a major profit stream for the business, and the hosting platform maintains an impressive 99.9% uptime.

He also heads up research and development, and is currently overseeing the next .net release of DotVacancy, 4MAT’s market leading product.

Phil has varied interests outside work, including team sports, diving, running (he recently completed the Arctic marathon) and playing the piano.
