Overview
TPP Not for Profit is a specialist charity recruiter with over 15 years of experience providing specialist recruitment services. Clients include leading national charities, international NGOs, healthcare providers and social enterprises.
Requirement
Mobile usage by job seekers is on the rise with 19% of job seekers using their mobile devices for career-related purposes and 57% of job seekers would like to be able to search for jobs on their mobile devices. 4MAT’s research found the majority of recruitment agency websites are poorly optimised for mobile.
For candidates, TPP wanted to offer an easy user experience on mobile. The site needed to be intuitive and simple, to make it usable on smart phone handsets in the environments they’re regularly used (commuting, away from the desk, outdoors).
For clients TPP saw the value of adding another platform to effectively showcase their roles. The desktop website is an important tool in placing candidates, but it did not suit the needs of a job seeker browsing from a mobile device.
Solution
TPP’s mobile site is built on 4MAT recruitment website platform DV3. “Pocket DV3” is a stripped down version of the platform, which pulls through the job listings and core functionality of the desktop site.
Candidates browse jobs on their mobile device and see calls to action designed to capture their details and lead to conversion. After registering with TPP they can apply for jobs, save jobs and email it to themselves or friends.
The company logo and branding are retained. Compared to the desktop site, the interface is simplified with larger buttons and only the type of content a user will most use whilst on a mobile, such as directions to TPP offices.

Visit
www.tpp.co.uk from a mobile device and automatically get redirected to a mobile optimised version of the site. Minimal copy, large buttons and a simplified navigation are intuitive to use on a mobile handset. Functionality is centred on job content and the user is presented with multiple options for applying, saving and sharing jobs.
