2017 Wrapped: what's new at 4MAT?
Time flies, and once again it’s almost the end of one year and the start of another. 2017 has been an exceptionally busy year, even by the frantic standards of the recruitment industry, and in addition to the new developments hitting the sector as a whole - with the publication of GDPR and launch of Google for Jobs - there’s been a lot of change at 4MAT throughout the year. There have been new clients, new websites and new business deals: we’re likely to stay rushed off our feet into the New Year!

Here’s a round-up of the most noteworthy events at 4MAT for 2017.

Employer Websites

These past twelve months, we’ve really made an effort to reinvent the careers website for the technology dominated marketplace. Last December, we launched the website for Atkins Global, a multinational, a hugely respected design, engineering and project management consultancy. In addition to a cutting-edge design and functionality, we also made history by being the first company to integrate a careers website with Taleo, thus improving Atkins’ SEO rankings and ease of use in one fell swoop.

Over the course of this year, we also upgraded our features and functionality to include predictive search, which delivers results in real time as the user types, and a social wall, which integrates team members’ profiles with related and jobs and content, thus making it even easier to engage candidates and give companies a personable, friendly touch.

We applied these to several of our new projects over the year, not least of which was the website that we were commissioned to build for Harrods, the world-famous brand and department store, which recruits across a variety of sectors including eCommerce and Buying and Merchandising. With a stylish look and feel that hews closely to Harrods’ brand, whilst also tailoring it to appeal to and attract candidates, the site is a fantastic piece of work that we’ve nominated for several awards next year! We’ve also launched the recruitment website for QuintilesIMS (soon to be IQVIA), the global pharmaceutical recruiter, which is the first multilingual site to be fully integrated with Taleo.

What’s happening next year? We’ll be continuing to lead the way in bold new careers websites by launching our latest project with UK household staple Travis Perkins Group, which covers eighteen separate brands.

Recruitment Agencies

We’ve also continued to challenge ourselves with the recruitment websites we’ve built: working with innovative agencies like IDEX Consulting, Primat, Charles Hunter, ProfilesCreative and Orion Group, we’ve helped bring their websites to life over the course of the year- indeed, our newest launch, the market-leading Four Seasons site, went live just this December.

But it’s not all about new clients: one of our oldest clients, Anderselite, also launched their fourth recruitment website with us this year, redesigning their candidate offering for a more technological age, and using the latest features and functionality to bring their brand to life and cement their reputation as a trusted industry name.

The digital marketing team has gone from strength to strength this year, as we’ve expanded the permanent and freelance teams, letting us expand our operations to include more clients, and build on existing relationships with our digital marketing clients. We’ve also been able to expand on our own services with videos, infographics, outreach and blog promotion, to high levels of customer satisfaction.

We’ve also been able to do some sterling SEO work with our clients, boosting their SEO rankings with great results: in fact, for some companies we’ve produced record levels of Organic Traffic.

2017 has also been a stellar year for 4MAT’s own marketing. Over the course of the year, our expert staff produced three new eBooks to offer advice and guidance to employers and recruitment companies alike (take a look at them here). We’ve also gotten creative with the way we get our message out into the recruitment sphere, employing new videos, new infographics and social media to spread the word about important recruitment topics like GDPR and Google for Jobs; 4MAT is also a regular contributor at APSCo events and webinars.

We’ve even revamped our blog, introducing a streamlined tag cloud that will let browsers easily access the topics they want, and introducing new sections to showcase the wealth of knowledge we have on video- and testimonials from clients.

The hard work has paid off, too: we’ve been nominated for Industry Supplier Blog of the year by UK Recruiter, with results due to be released in the New Year.

What’s next for 2018?

We’ve got something very special in the pipeline that will definitely make a splash in the recruitment industry come next year. Stay tuned!
