2018 wrapped: what's new at 4MAT?
Since we wrapped up 2017 this time last year, a lot has happened at 4MAT HQ. Over the past twelve months, we’ve some seen some exceptional websites go live, an unprecedented amount of awards success… and even a whole new product rollout!

That’s only in our office: across the recruitment industry, Google for Jobs has finally gone live in the UK, Indeed has announced sweeping changes to the way that they’ll be managing Organic Traffic and the importance of integrating your ATS with your careers website has finally taken a front seat in many in-house teams’ recruitment strategies.

How has all this frenetic change impacted 2018 at 4MAT? We take a look…

This year has seen the rollout of our ground-breaking smart recruitment website platform, Attrax. Following the successful launch of our first website, Four Seasons, we’ve been seeing great results, and a fantastic average conversion rate of 20%, for many of our new Attrax sites, including Vodafone and Harnham.

We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved with Attrax: it combines insights gathered from years of digital recruitment marketing experience with cutting edge technology to create something rather special. With a lightning-fast Total Search, a top-notch CMS and Personalisation, the sites are Google for Jobs-ready, and optimised to convert candidates. It even resulted in an APSCo Award for Innovator of the Year this October!

Naturally, we’re excited to see what 2019 brings for Attrax and build on our success this coming year.

Employer Websites

This year has been an exciting one for our corporate clients and has seen our efforts to reinvent the careers site for the new, modern online jobseeker really pay off. This year, we worked with Vodafone to roll out a careers website for their UK office in a stunning eleven weeks, followed by sites in ten different languages to recruit people from all around the world. It’s already been seeing great results, and even scooped two NORA awards earlier this year, for Best Major Employer, and the NORA Academy Award.

That’s not all: this was followed by the launch of Travis Perkins Group’s new careers website, which works as an umbrella site to deliver jobs from more than twenty different businesses under the Travis Perkins brand, whilst also allowing each business a measure of autonomy and independence in how they advertised and uploaded their own jobs. With a conversion rate of 42%, its website that we’re really proud of, and it’s already seen several award nominations over the course of 2018.

Alongside this, our commitment to keeping existing websites, like npower, up to date and converting candidates led to an ONREC Award for both Harrods and npower: for The Creative Online Marketing Award, and The Best Corporate Graduate Site. With credentials like that, we’re excited to see what next year will bring!

Recruitment Agencies

We’ve continued to push boundaries with our suite of recruitment websites. This year, we collaborated with experts in corporate governance recruitment, Barclay Simpson, giving them a fresh new brand to reflect their forward-looking approach and position in the market. This was followed by a new recruitment website whose stylish and professional new design is sure to make them stand out in the market.

Website for global recruiters Harnham, ProClinical, Tradewind Recruitment and Harvey Nash have also gone live in the past six months. Built on our new Attrax platform, their stellar design and functionality have impressed people across the industry and are already delivering some great results: for instance, Harnham’s conversion rate has increased from 16-25% over since go-live.

4MAT’s Marketing Team has been as busy as ever over 2018, going from strength to strength and taking on several more clients on SEO and content retainers as the months went by, including offering marketing guidance to websites like Barclay Simpson, ICON and Quanta.

SEO has also had a standout year: our team’s commitment to delivering great results and ensuring seamless SEO migrations to new websites has resulted in record levels of traffic, some innovative new results dashboards for our clients to monitor their traffic levels and conversion rates in real time and given our sites some record results in the past twelve months.

Our APSCo Award notwithstanding, 2018 has been a busy year for the team at 4MAT. Alongside launching Attrax, we’ve also found the time to attend and host an Industry Breakfast alongside the IHRN, host several webinars on new developments in the recruitment industry, and speak at two In-House Live! events in London and Manchester.

We’ve also been busy revamping our Meet the Team page to better reflect who we are and the personalities of our team. With that, and our new Attrax pages, we’re going into 2019 prepared!

What’s next for 2019?

We’re looking forward to bringing Attrax to more companies and recruitment websites- and taking part in more recruitment events! Stay tuned…

In the meantime, why not check out our brand new Attrax platform for recruiters and employers?
