Fresh insights at Edge Recruit's Marketing Conference
How can you make recruitment marketing accessible for everybody? By hosting an event for experts to gather, share their insights and drink piña coladas together. Last Thursday saw the #EdgeRecruit Marketing Conference, held by On the Edge Live, take place at Club Tropicana, where experts from all over the recruitment sector gave their opinions on Google for Jobs, the importance of video in attracting candidates, and the rise of AI and big data in the industry.

The event was well attended, with speakers from Hinterview, BlueSky PR, Broadbean, Innovantage, Barclay Jones and ClickIQ giving their presentations alongside our very own Warren Davidson, whose presentation ‘Embracing A Revolution in Digital Candidate Attraction’ tackled the importance of measuring the candidate funnel and the upcoming launch of Google’s newest job aggregator extraordinaire, Google for Jobs.

Warren takes to the floor- or ballpit- for his presentation.

We’re proud to say that it went down a storm: judging by their tweets, many of the attendees didn’t realise just what the implications of Google for Jobs would be, with some calling it a ‘game changer’- evidence backed up by a recent poll that we ran with APSCo about the importance of boosting your SEO. Indeed, with the advent of Google for Jobs as the industry’s newest- and likely most influential- job aggregator, it’ll be more important than ever for recruitment agencies to take control of their recruitment websites and start cultivating their SEO strategy- the main reasons for which you can find here.

All in all, the event was a huge success. Not only were we able to share our views on the most important trends that the recruitment industry faced, but the chance to hear other industry experts give their opinion on the trends hitting the recruitment industry was invaluable. With takeaways galore- some of which you can find here- and some rather funky leis from the event itself we’re already looking forward to hearing what everybody has to say next year!

At 4MAT, we pride ourselves on keeping our finger on the pulse of the changing recruitment market, so we can build excellent recruitment websites tailored to our clients' needs.
