We did it!
On 1 August, we travelled to Wales as we looked to raise money for a number of different charities. Arriving on Friday afternoon, we managed to fit in a spot of zip-lining (which was amazing!), before getting our rest in for the big day.
Saturday morning came as we made our way to Pen y Pass, home to one of the most challenging climbs up Snowdon. We started in good spirits and formed into small groups to suit everyone’s climbing pace. Our quickest group made it in just an hour and a half!
At the beginning of the climb: Ronan, Antony, James, Tom and Alex (left to right)
The climb up was interspersed with some heavy showers to keep us all on our toes. During the sunny breaks, some of the views were phenomenal before fog crept in to give a real atmospheric feel and sense of isolation to the climb, compared to the hustle and bustle around our London offices. After we all met up at the summit and had a well-earned cup of tea, we enjoyed the much-improved weather on the way back down. All of us made it to the top and back without any injuries…a definite cause for a trip to the pub.
We’re really close to raising £1,000 for our efforts – it’s not too late to donate! There are many different causes to donate to – it'd be fantastic to reach that target. You can visit our JustGiving page by clicking here, or any of the photos below.
There's already talk of finding another mountain to scale...Ben Nevis, anyone?
