The Aim

Quanta is a recruitment business providing independent contractors to the life science and energy industries. In 2016, the business made a decision to update their online and offline brand to assist them on their goal to becoming the de facto recruitment partner to their clients and contractors. Quanta felt they were the market’s best kept secret, and by reinvigorating the brand and marketing their true personality they would be on the path to achieving their goal.

The Method

4MAT began by undertaking a research process that delved deep to identify Quanta’s contractors and clients, what their business stood for, what their values were, and how they wanted to be perceived.

The team developed a number of logo concepts, concluding with a logo concept that represents Quanta’s values and provides an overarching message of togetherness.

4MAT produced a logo concept that defines togetherness by having every piece of typography interlocking with one another. Quanta have an internal mantra of “one team” – the logo and its overlapping characters helped to illustrate this to not only those who are familiar with Quanta, but also those who are not.

Typography is a big part of any brand story. It was important that the font we selected for Quanta instilled confidence and illustrated heritage and personality, all of which was needed to carry the company forward and re-launch themselves. The Quanta red is an evolution of the red associated with the brand since its inception, bringing the palette forward to the modern day whilst also providing a degree of continuity to those familiar with Quanta.

The logo design is accompanied by a wide range of stationary and promotional material including business cards, letterheads, compliment slips, pens, mugs and coasters. In addition, exterior signage and interior artwork was designed to coincide with the brand launch, including wallpaper for a number of rooms and enlarged motifs.

The Results

The new brand has been praised by candidates, clients and employees. Spencer Trigg, Director of Quanta, said "It has been a real pleasure working with the team at 4MAT! They have done a superb job in developing our new brand that the whole business are really proud of.”

Since the rebrand 4MAT have also supported the recruitment of a new marketing manager and continue to work closely with the team at Quanta to drive their digital marketing strategy through search engine optimisation, paid advertising and content marketing.
